Call for Support

The 62nd Fife Scout Group relies on the generosity of our volunteers and the community. From volunteering your time to donating funds or resources, there are several ways you can support us.

Join Us in Making a Difference: Volunteer

Are you looking to make a positive impact in your community, develop your own skills, and have a lot of fun in the process? Then volunteering at the 62nd Fife Scout Group might be the perfect fit for you! We're always on the lookout for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our vibrant team.

You don't need to know how to tie knots or pitch a tent to join us.  We are flexible in supporting your needs and aspirations but you'll be surprised at how much you have to offer.

Here's how you can help

Leaders

Our Leaders are the backbone of our programs. They guide our young members through a wide range of activities and experiences, instilling in them the values of scouting and helping them develop 'Skills for Life'. As a Leader, you'll have the opportunity to watch young people grow, learn, and mature, and there's no greater reward than that.

Sectional Assistants

Working closely with Leaders, our Sectional Assistants play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our scout sections. You'll be hands-on with activities, assist with planning, and provide supervision during our exciting events. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your leadership and teamwork skills.

Parent Helpers

As a Parent Helper, you get to experience the joy of scouting alongside your child. You'll assist with occasional activities or outings, providing a supportive and encouraging environment for all. Not only will you share unforgettable experiences with your child, but you'll also contribute to enriching the lives of their peers.

Group Committee Members

Our Committee Members are the strategic thinkers and planners of our scout group. They ensure that we have the resources we need, from managing budgets to planning fundraisers. This role will give you the chance to use your professional skills in a fulfilling, community-focused way.

Adults with Transferable Skills

We are always looking for adults with transferable skills to run one off sessions for our sections.  This could be anything from financial advisors, to mechanics or fire fighters.  Our mission is to prepare our young people for the future so we often develop sessions and activities which will arm our young people with the knowledge and skills they will need in later life.

Why Wait

Volunteering with the 62nd Fife Scout Group not only contributes to the development of our young members, but it's also an opportunity for your personal growth. It's a chance to learn new skills, make new friends, and be part of a worldwide movement committed to creating a better world.

Your support will empower our young people to gain confidence, resilience, and a sense of adventure. By volunteering, you're not just giving your time. You're igniting the spark of potential in our scouts, helping them to learn, grow, and become the best versions of themselves.

So why wait? Join us today, and together, let's prepare young people with skills for life. Contact us to find out how you can get involved. We can't wait to welcome you to our scouting family!
